Ana was defeated in the second round of French Open with Magda Linette winning 6:0 and 7:5. After her recent spell of ill health, Ana was feeling great until Wednesday night, when she felt the back pain again. This morning it was better, but not 100%. Is this the main reason for Ana's defeat in the second round of Roland Garros, the second Grand Slam tournament of the season? Given the body language during the match, Ana was obviously not feeling too good.

Magda Linette won the first set with 6:0 after only 17 minutes. Before the second set, Ana went to the locker room. She returned to the field and took 2:0. Magda however, quickly returned and took the lead with 3:2 and 4:3. In the ninth game, Ana once again broke her opponent's service and served for the tie in sets but she failed.

Then, the five-years-older Polish player, broke serve and won the next game without losing a point and secured a tie break just in case. However, she made a break again in the twelfth game and finally won the match without tie break being even played.  At some moments of the second set it looked as though Ana felt better but in the end she did not play well enough to win.

With this win, Linette has achieved her greatest success at Grand Slam tournaments. Currently the 97th world tennis player will play for the first time in the third round against Elina Svitoline, the 5th seed of the tournament. Will she play in the second round of the doubles tournament with Ana tomorrow and try to achieve another win, but it will depend on Ana. Will Ana be able to?
